Hello world!

This is my first post on my journey to becoming a regular blogger about Home Brewing Beer. This website is dedicated to the Happenings/Mishappenings/Adventures/Misadventures during my journey as a Home Brewer. Comparatively I have not been brewing for a very long time, But I do my research and have gathered a rather extensive book collection.

Research for me has been the key to brewing good beer. I also comb through some pretty good forums and when I need to know about something, I ask. By no stretch of the imagination am I an expert, But I get by.

My most recent creation is a Scotch Ale. I was up in Bellingham near Seattle at the Boundary Bay Brewery recently and had an amazing special reserve Scotch Ale. This has been in the primary fermenter for about a month now, It went from 1.104 down to 1.038 and comes in at 7.8 ABV. It will be out of the primary into a secondary this evening with some gelatin to help in clearing for another two weeks. After that it will be in a keg for about 60 day’s for aging.

Cheers

Preston
